New Delhi: Hours after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal informed of his visit to Dehradun on Sunday and questioned the inflated rates of power in Uttarakhand despite the state producing its own stock, newly sworn-in Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami slammed the former and said, "he may have an agenda for election but our agenda is to give the best to the people of the state."
Speaking to the media in the national capital, Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "He (Kejriwal) may have an agenda for the upcoming election but our agent is to give the best work to the people of the state. We are not working for the sake of elections."

When he was asked whether the announcement by Delhi CM to provide free electricity to the people of Uttarakhand should be taken as a challenge by the BJP government in the state, he said, "We don't have any challenge in front of us and development of Uttarakhand is the only challenge."
Giving details about his visit to the national capital, Dhami said, "I met PM Modi and that was just a courtesy call. Now, I will be meeting the President and cabinet ministers and take guidance for the development of Uttarakhand." In a tweet, he stated, "Today, I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and received his blessings. Discussed and received his guidance on the development of the state, a possible third wave of Covid-19, Char Dham and Kanwar yatra."
