Hyderabad: Customs officials seized six kgs of gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The gold worth Rs 3 Crores was seized from a passenger who came from Dubai.
When customs officials conducted inspections at the airport they intercepted a passenger who came from Dubai. The Officers found gold in the electric charging light from the passenger's luggage. The gold was smuggled in electric charging lights. Custom officials said, "case is registered against the passenger and he has been arrested."
However, the officials said they were probing as to who provided the gold to the passenger in Dubai and to whom it should be handed over in Hyderabad. The officials further said that the passenger had no history of being involved in such crimes.
