New Delhi: India reported 23,529 new cases and 311 deaths in 24 hours ending 8 am on Thursday, the Union Health Ministry said in a bulletin. With this, the total tally of active cases stands at 2,77,020 and the death toll at 4,48,062. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has surged to 3,30,14,898. As many as 28,718 people recovered in 24 hours, as per the bulletin.
According to the health ministry, 56,89,56,439 samples have been tested till September 29 of which 15,06,254 were tested on Wednesday.
