Patna: Hitting back at Nitish Kumar's statement that "BJP would be reduced to only 50 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls", BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said the Bihar CM was "daydreaming".
"Nitish Kumar is daydreaming and this daydream of the party winning two seats in 2014 is never going to come true. He has to remember that the 16 seats he currently has in the Lok Sabha are because of Narendra Modi. This time also if Modi would not have been there, his candidates would not have even managed to visit Lok Sabha," Prasad said.
Further taking a jibe at Nitish, he said: "Nitish Kumar ji if you are ready to make your own fate like Deve Gowda and Gujral then we can't do anything. But there is no vacancy for the post of Prime Minister."

Prasad said people are happy with the government of Narendra Modi and whenever the opposition talks of settling BJP on lesser seats, BJP emerges with bigger wins. He also said that Nitish should forget about the opposition's unity. "Desperate to be the prime ministerial candidate himself, Nitish Kumar must remember that the public has seen him very closely. How have people gone with you? The public knows this very well and the public will answer them when the time comes," he said.
Earlier on Saturday, Nitish Kumar had said the BJP would be reduced to only 50 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls if all opposition parties across the country get united to contest against the saffron party.
