New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party's National Spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan has criticised the Congress-ruled states for 'carrying out' atrocities on Dalits. Paswan said "Dalits are being continuously killed and tortured in the Congress-ruled states." The BJP spokesperson also released a video on Twitter following the murder of a 21-year-old Dalit youth, Vinod Bamnia, who was beaten to death in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.

He added that it is surprising that caste-based violence is still happening even in the 21st century. We have requested the National Commission for Scheduled Castes to take cognizance of this matter and ensure a thorough investigation. The strictest action should be taken against the culprits. The Congress party has a history of taking political advantage by making people fight in the name of caste and religion.

The BJP spokesperson said that we need to be careful with Congress and the intellectuals nurtured by them because of their efforts to undermine and break the unity and integrity of our people. He further added that cases of atrocities on Dalits are not important news in Congress-ruled states but surprisingly, it becomes a huge national and international in non-Congress ruled states. We don't want any form of injustice with Dalits in any states.
