New Delhi: Accusing Uttar Pradesh government of communalising situation in the state, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) national secretary, Tasleem Rehmani on Thursday said that the government's report on rioting involving Muslim organisations post-CAA is false.
Speaking to the ETV Bharat here, Rehmani said accusing only a Muslim organisation like Popular Front of India (PFI) for anti-CAA and NRC agitations were wrong as all several parties and groups were involved in protesting against the newly amended citizenship law and the proposed NRC in the country.
He also denounced the state government for not being able to protect the people there.
"People those who have been killed in police action should not have been killed," he said, adding that he being a common would not be heard, whereas the government would have its way in levelling allegations against anyone it wants.
