Agra (Uttar Pradesh): A seven-month-old girl was allegedly killed by her stepfather.
According to the police, Manoj married a woman named Maya who was from Bihar and had a child from her previous marriage.
Step father kills infant girl
"Manoj used to be upset with Maya as she would generally be busy with her infant daughter. The couple generally fought over the issue," they said.
On Saturday morning, when Maya was out, Manoj allegedly killed and buried the child outside their village Mudiyapura near a pond.
As Maya returned home and did not find the girl, she informed the police which arrested the accused and recovered the body.
Further investigation is underway.
