New Delhi: AP Singh, who tried his every skill as a lawyer to save the convicts in Nirbhaya case in the court of law, is now ready to plead the innocence of Hathras gang rape and murder case accused. All India Kshatriya Mahasabha (AIKM) has approached him to fight the case of all accused. AP Singh claims that those arrested in the case have been, in fact, implicated in the case and he will prove this in the court of law.
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, AP Singh said that all the arrested youths are innocent and they have been implicated due to old enmity.
Advocate AP Singh feels that Hathras gang rape and murder appears to be a case of honour killing. The girl was an old friend of Sandeep, an accused in the case. They used to talk on mobile phones. According to Singh, the girl’s brother saw them together on the day of the incident, after which he brutally thrashed her. An important point in this case is her brother’s name is also Sandeep. She died due to beating, after which her family got the section of gang rape added in the case and implicated others as a part of the conspiracy.
AP Singh claimed that the entire case of Hathras is politically motivated. When the family registered an FIR, it was only a case of attempt to murder.
"The case became of gang rape after some time. Today all the leaders of opposition parties want to go to Hathras. It has also seen that through this case there was a conspiracy to trigger violence in Uttar Pradesh on a large scale. A conspiracy was hatched to topple the BJP government through violence in the State. With the help of this case, the opposition wants to prepare the ground for the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, scheduled to be held in 2022. The truth will come out after the investigation is conducted." he said.

Advocate AP Singh said that there was a general perception that after punishing the culprits in Nirbhaya gang-rape case, there won’t be the repetition of such heinous acts. However, there have been hundreds of rapes and murders across the country even after hanging the culprits. The MPs and the MLAs, who are going to Hathras, should find out the number of heinous crimes reported from respective areas. Aren’t there any incidents of rape and murder in their area? They have chosen Hathras to do politics.
Lawyer AP Singh bemoaned that today even those people are not relying on our judicial process who have taken the oath of the Constitution. People are demanding that justice should be done the way it was done in the case of Hyderabad gang rape case and the way the justice was done in the case of Vikas Dubey.
"If this happens, that will be the end of our judicial system. There will be no need for courts. Therefore, I strongly feel that each of us should have faith in the law. So far as Hathras case is concerned, no one should do any politics. Let it be investigated and heard like a criminal case. Then everyone will get justice." he said.
According to advocate AP Singh, daughter of Hathras should get justice, but there should not be any injustice to those sons who have been arrested in this case. All medical and forensic reports are revealing that the girl was not raped, but her family later came out with the allegation of rape. As the media trial took place in the case of Nirbhaya, similarly the media trial is going on in this case as well, which is wrong. All this may lead to the decision, but not justice. Therefore, we all should wait till the investigations are completed and the case comes up before the judge. The CBI is investigating the case which is a reliable investigative agency. Soon the truth will be out in front of everyone.
