Bengaluru: The state has been hit by floods and the covid crisis this year. In the midst of Covid, relief for flood victims has been a major headache for the government. The government is tired of the state disaster management fundraising money for flood and covid. Here's a report on how much money the government has made through SDRF.
Rs 1736.42 crore grant had been released under the Government of SDRF for 2019-20 flood relief fund. Rs 3078.88 crore in the form of input subsidy of NDRF from the Central govt had been released.
Accordingly, Rs 10 crore for flood relief under SDRF, Rs 190.40 crore for Bagalkot, Rs 717.72 crores for Belgavi, Rs 15 crore for Bellary, Rs 13.76 crore for Vijayapura, Rs. 8.50 crore for Bidar, Chamarajanagar was given Rs 6.54 crore, Chikkamagaluru Rs 43.33 crore, Chitradurga Rs 13.31 crore, Chikkaballapura Rs 10 crore, Rs 46.71 crore for Dakshina Kannada, Davanagere was granted Rs 9 crore, Dharwad was given Rs 10.20 crores, Gadag got Rs 4.78 crores, Kalaburgi Rs 17.50 crore, Hassan Rs 38.74 crores, Haveri Rs 178 crores, Kodagu Rs 22.87 crore, Koppal Rs 5 crores, Kolar Rs 10 crores, Mysore Rs 63.38 crores, Raichur Rs 12.11 crores, Ramanagar Rs 5 crores, Shivamogga Rs 25.15 crores, Tumkur Rs 5 crores, Udupi Rs 27.67 crores, Uttara Kannada Rs 45.55 crores and Yadagiri got Rs 10.28 crores.
The monsoon hit the state in 2020-21. Heavy rain in August and September costing the state Rs 15,108 crore. According to the SDRF rule, the state government is seeking relief Rs. 1306 crore. The amount of rain damage in October is still being reviewed.
Rs 325.44 crore was granted flood and corona under SDRF. The grant has been released. 275.48 crore for Covid. Rs 50 crore for flood. Rs 5 crore has been released as flood relief to each district in Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, Hassan, Haveri, Kodagu, Mysore, Shivamogga and Uttara Kannada.
Bangalore Urban received Rs 40 crores, Rs 7.65 crore was given to Bengaluru rural, Rs 6.60 crore for Bagalkot, Rs 16.58 crore for earmarked for Belgavi, Rs 4.50 crore for Bellary, Rs 9 crore for Vijayapura, Rs 5 crore for Bidar, Rs 6.34 crore for Chamarajanagar, Rs 6.42 crore for Chikkamagalur, Chikkaballapur got Rs 6 crores, Dakshina Kannada Rs 12.90 crores, Davangere Rs 25.66 crores, Dharwad Rs 125.52 crores, Gadag Rs 56.82 crores, Kalburgi Rs 5 crores, Hassan Rs 5.50 crores, Haveri Rs 8.10 crores, Kodagu Rs 10.21 crores, Koppal Rs 4.60 crores, Kolar Rs 3.65 crores, Mandya Rs 3.25 crore, Mysore Rs 12 crore, Raichur Rs 7.85 crore, Ramanagar Rs 6.42 crore, Shimoga Rs 8 crore, Tumkur Rs 10 crore, Udupi Rs 7.28 crore, Uttara Kannada Rs 10 crore and Yadagiri received Rs 8.55 crore.
