Hindu refugees from Pakistan living in Delhi's Sanjay Colony area celebrate passing of CAB

With the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the Pakistani Hindu refugees staying at Sanjay colony in Bhatti Mines area in Delhi, rejoiced at the prospects of getting Indian Citizenship on Thursday.

A large number of these immigrants at Sanjay colony hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah for the passage of the Bill.

Camp to be organised in Barmer for Pak refugees to complete citizenship application

A camp will be organised on Friday by the district administration to assist Pakistan refugees to complete the formalities for availing the Indian citizenship.

Officials of all departments concerned will sit together and help the refugees complete all formalities at the camp, an official said.

"New applications will be accepted and the incomplete pending applications will be completed at the camp," District Collector Anshdeep said.

Refugees express their joy over CAB

As CAB clears its passage first through Lok Sabha and then through Rajya Sabha, hundred of refugees expressed their joy over the Bill.

While talking to ETV Bharat, one of them said: "Our blessings are with PM Modi for this historic decision, we are all very happy today"

Amid sloganeering of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', the residents distributed sweets among each other to celebrate the occasion.

"We are really happy with this decision. It is like we have taken a new birth here. We are extremely grateful to Modi for the decision," said another refugee.

A woman refugee stated that the kindness shown by Modi will not be forgotten.

"We want other Pakistani Hindu citizens to also come to India to celebrate this occasion," said another woman.

Delhi: Hindu refugees celebrate passing of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill

With Citizenship (Amendment) Bill being passed in the upper house of Parliament on Wednesday, the Pakistani Hindu refugees staying at the Majnu ka Tilla were overjoyed and excited at the prospects of getting Indian citizenship after the Bill becomes an act with the consent of President Kovind.

A large number of these immigrants hailed the Central government for passage of the bill and greeted thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the same.

The CAB smoothly sailed through Parliament after the Rajya Sabha passed it on Wednesday. As many as 125 members of the Upper House voted in favour while 105 MPs voted against the Bill, which was passed by Lok Sabha earlier this week.

The Bill seeks to grant Indian citizenship to refugees from Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and Zoroastrian communities fleeing religious persecution from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh and who entered India on or before December 31, 2014.

Intro:फतेहाबाद में पाकिस्तान से आए नागरिकों ने जलाए अपने पुराने पाकिस्तानी दस्तावेज, नागरिक संशोधन बिल को लेकर जताई खुशी, बांटी मिठाई, फतेहाबाद निवासी दिवाया राम ने पाकिस्तानी सांसद होने का किया दावा, सुनाई दर्द भरी आपबीती, दीवाया राम का कहना 90 दिन तक रहा पाकिस्तान में सांसद, मुस्लिम होने का बनाया गया दबाव, परिवार की बेटी को किया गया अगवा, तो छोड़ दिया सांसद का पद, 19 वर्षों से भारत में रह रहे हैं डिवाया राम और उसका परिवार, पाकिस्तान से आए पप्पू राम ने भी दिखाए जिस्म पर लगे पाकिस्तानी चाकुओं के जख्म, नागरिक संशोधन बिल पास होने को लेकर जताया सरकार का आभार।Body:पाकिस्तान से भारत आए हिंदू परिवारों को अब भारतीय नागरिकता मिलने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है इसी को लेकर फतेहाबाद के रतिया इलाके में बसे पाकिस्तानी नागरिकों ने आज मिठाई बांटकर सरकार का धन्यवाद किया। खुद को पाकिस्तान का सांसद बताने वाले डिवाया राम ने मिठाई बांटी और पाकिस्तान में उन पर हुए जुल्मों की दास्तां बताई। मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए डिवाया राम ने बताया कि बेनजीर भुट्टो के राज में उन्हें रिजर्व सीट में सांसद बनाया गया था। वह 90 दिनों तक सांसद रहे, लेकिन उनके मुसलमान ना होने की वजह से उन्हें प्रताड़ित किया जाने लगा। उनके परिवार की बेटी को उठा लिया गया और उन पर मुसलमान धर्म अपनाने का दबाव बनाया जाने लगा। जिसके बाद मजबूर होकर उन्होंने सांसद पद छोड़ दिया। डिवाया राम ने बताया कि उनका मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक भी गया, लेकिन जज ने उन्हें मुसलमान धर्म अपनाने की सलाह दी। जिसके बाद उन्होने पाकिस्तान छोड़ दिया और 19 वर्षों से भारत में रह रहे हैं। उन्हें याद है कि मुसलमान ना होने पर किस कदर उन्हें प्रताड़ित किया जाता था। आज उन्होंने अपने साथियों के साथ पाकिस्तानी दस्तावेजों को जला दिया है। कांच उनका नया जन्म हुआ है और वह भारत के नागरिक बन रहे हैं। मिठाई बांटकर आज उन्होंने खुशी मनाई। डिवाया राम ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान में उनकी 25 एकड़ जमीन थी, जिसे वह छोड़ कर आए।

वहीं वर्ष 2006 में पाकिस्तान से भारत आए हिंदू परिवार के पप्पू राम ने भी डिवाया राम के साथ ही मिठाई बांटकर खुशी मनाई। पप्पू ने बताया कि पाकिस्तान में उन्हें अछूत समझा जाता था। मुसलमान उनके बाद तक नहीं काटते थे और बाजार में उन्हें सामान खरीदने के लिए भी दुत्कार सहनी पड़ती थी। पप्पू राम ने अपने गले पर लगे चाकू के जख्म दिखाते हुए बताया कि मुसलमान ना होने के चलते उन पर कई बार हमले भी किए गए, जिसके निशान अभी भी उनके जिस्म पर लगे हुए हैं। उन्होंने सरकार का धन्यवाद किया और कहा कि अब वह भारत के नागरिक हैं, उन्हें इस बात की खुशी है।
पाकिस्तान से भारत आए लोगों ने अपनी जो आप बीती सुनाई है उसे सुनकर दिल सिहर जाता है।Conclusion:
