Jaipur: A major Gurjar organisation will begin an agitation over reservation for the community from November 1.
Talking to reporters in Hinduan, Gurjar leader Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla urged members of the community to reach Pilupura (Bayana) for the agitation on Sunday. A meeting has been called in which DG ML Lator, ADG Law and Order Saurabh Shrivastava and ADG of Intelligence wing Umesh Mishra, along with other dignitaries will be present.
Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti leader Vijay Bainsla said, "From November 1, the movement will start in Pilupura because the government is not accepting our demands for the past two years."
He said the community was left with no option as the state government ignored their demands. Meanwhile, police and the administration stepped up vigil in Karauli, Alwar, Dausa, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur districts ahead of the agitation. Around 30 armed companies have taken charge to keep the law and order situation in control during the protest.
Around seven armed companies have been called from Jaisalmer, Barmer and areas adjoining Ganganagar border.
Apart from this, the state government will also deploy two companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) and eight companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). In addition to this, eight companies of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) and four companies of Special Task Force (STF) will also be deployed at the agitation site.
A high-level meeting of police was also held in Jaipur. Additional force is being sent along with higher officials in the districts.
The Gurjar panel had held a maha panchayat in Bayana on October 17, giving the state government an ultimatum to fulfil their demands till November 1.

Eight additional SPs, scores of Deputy SPs and police officers, formerly posted in Bharatpur district, have also been deployed at the protest site. The entire situation is being monitored and instructions are being issued to prevent any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, a 41-member committee of the Gurjar community, where protests are likely to be held, is set to meet the government cabinet to keep forward their demands. Along with the committee, Bayana subdivision officer Sunil Arya has also left for Jaipur.
The committee will hold a meeting on Saturday and discuss issues like reservation, backlog of vacancies, benefit of five per cent reservation to the Most Backward Classes (MBC) in the pending recruitment process and withdrawal of police complaints against the community.
The state vice-president of Gurjar Reservation Sangharsh Samiti, Mr Ram Bainsla, Shergarh Sarpanch Diwan, former sarpanch Vijay Ram, Pushpendra Singh, Daya Sarpanch, Malkhan Singh Tanwar, Harkishan, Nihal, Brown will attend the meeting.
It may be recalled that at least 80 people of the Gurjar community met on Friday evening in which they decided to hold talks with the government before the agitation.
On Thursday, Rajasthan Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Ashok Chandna had said a cabinet committee had taken a decision on their three key demands.
Chandna said all 1,252 candidates belonging to the Most Backward Classes (MBCs), who have completed their probation period, will be given regular pay scale by the state government.
The state government will once again write to the Centre to include the provision related to reservation for the MBCs in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution, he said.
Chandna said families of the three people who died due to injuries received during the Gurjar agitation in the past will be given an assistance of Rs 5 lakh each.
