Put Pulwama CRPF martyrs photos in all CSE: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Ravi Shankar Prasad asked the common service centres to put pictures of Pulwama martys on the portal. He also urged the CSC to put information about the martyrs on the portal so that people can learn about them on the internet.

New Delhi: The Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday asked the common service centres to put pictures of the martyred soldiers in the Pulwama attack on its portal.

Prasad, who was speaking on the occasion of marking 1000 digital villages as part of the digital India campaign under the Meity, said "I want all the CSC workers to have pictures of the Pulwama martyrs installed in each and every Common Service Centre.

Lauding the work of security forces, he said, "With the help of CSC, people will know about the one have sacrificed their lives for this country. The are many people who would be willing to live for this country but how many people would be willing to lay their lives for this country? Our soldiers have paid the ultimate sacrifice in Pulwama and we should honour them."

Apart from installing their pictures at the centres, the Minister also urged the CSC to have information about these martyrs on digital portals so that people can also look them up on internet.

On the occasion, Prasad highlighted the work done by the Common Service Centres under the Ministry of Electronics and IT and said that in some years even the best of Institutes like the Havard and the Cambridge would also do a case study on functioning of the common service centre which has managed to deliver the best of services in even the remotest areas of the country.
