New Delhi: Punjab Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa took charge as the Chairman of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation, Rajya Sabha.
Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu had appointed Bajwa to succeed Congress T Subbirami Reddy, who retired from the House recently.
This committee oversees the formulation of rules and regulations by the government under delegated powers and their laying on the table of the House within stipulated time by the government, public sector and autonomous bodies and other such institutions financially supported by the Central Government.
