Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the second leg of his campaign for Bihar assembly elections and addressed rallies in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Patna. The first phase of Bihar elections commenced from today and voting was done in 71 constituencies.
First rally in Darbhanga
Starting his election campaign today from Darbhanga, PM Modi recalled the struggle behind the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and attacked the opposition.
"The construction of Ram Mandir has started and the opposition is now cheering for us," he said. Modi also invoked the image of Goddess Sita and her father Janaka, adding that those who lambasted BJP over the delay in the construction of the temple are now praising our efforts.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that Mitlanchal has a huge potential to become a tourist destination.
Attacking the former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his 'jungle raj' regime, Modi said, "If you vote for the opposition hoping that development will happen in the state, then let me tell you...you are mistaken. If 'jungle raj' comes back in Bihar, then Bihar will become 'bimar' again. If you vote for people who are known for abduction, then forget about government jobs...even private companies won't come in Bihar."

Second rally in Muzaffarpur
In his second rally in Muzaffarpur, Modi asserted people to vote for NDA for Bihar to witness development in the future.
PM Modi said, "This is the time for the people of Bihar to take a serious decision. People who had a long future in political career has pulled the state out of the darkness and helped the state to move towards progress. This is the time to select that party which worked for the welfare of Bihar. Your vote will be the deciding factor in making Bihar 'Atamnirbhar'.
Highlighting that Bihar should become 'Atamnirbhar', PM said, "During COVID times, Bihar needs a stable government. Bihar needs a government that will prioritise 'development' and 'good governance'.
When people started chanting 'Modi slogans', PM said, "Opposition had only one agenda- Paisa hajam, pariyojna khatam'. He said those who were in power before the NDA government was formed were so obsessed with their "commission" that they never cared about connectivity for regions like Mithila.
Third rally in Patna
In his third rally in Patna, PM Modi came down heavily on the opposition party and attacked them on various issues.
"Who has cared for the needs of poor and middle-class people in Bihar? People who looted Bihar, made it 'bimar'...have they done any work?" The party which was concerned only about his family, did injustice to people, denied Dalits and downtrodden of their rights...can they ever work for the welfare of Bihar?", Modi asked.
Modi tore into the opposition RJD in Bihar, calling its chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav the "yuvraaj" (crown prince) of "jungle raj" and attacking him over the promise of 10 lakh government jobs.
He cautioned people against the double whammy Bihar could face if those responsible for having turned the state "bimar" (sick) were voted to power amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
"Forget about government jobs. If they succeed (in winning), Bihar will lose jobs even in the private sector. The party has copyright over kidnappings and companies will be forced to shut shop and flee as they will be under duress because of extortion calls," Modi alleged.
