No government interference in work of investigative agencies: Anurag Thakur

MoS for Finance Anurag Thakur says probe agencies are doing their work to wipe out corruption from India and the Union Government has nothing to do with their operations. He also emphasized that the government was not indulging in any political vendetta.

New Delhi: Minister of State (MoS) for Finance Anurag Thakur on Thursday said the Union Government was not interfering in the probe being done by the investigative agencies and no case was "politically motivated".

"Investigative agencies are doing their work. Accused must cooperate," he said here interacting with media persons.

The minister, without naming senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, said a former finance minister was always full of "big talk" but he is in jail now. "The former finance minister was full of big talk. The case against him is being investigated. The matter was even taken to the top court of the country but he is in jail," he said.

Thakur also stressed that "no case was politically motivated" as was being alleged by the opposition parties.

Intro:नई दिल्ली। केंद्रीय वित्त राज्य मंत्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर ने आज एनसीपी अध्यक्ष शरद पवार के खिलाफ प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) द्वारा होने वाली कार्रवाई पर कहा कि यह मामला बिल्कुल भी राजनीतिक नहीं है और उनकी सरकार में पहले भी जो भ्रष्टाचार के मामले दर्ज हुए उन्हें अंजाम तक पहुंचाया गया।


Body:उन्होंने कहा, "हिंदुस्तान में भ्रष्टाचार जड़ से खत्म हो और ऊपर बैठे लोगों पर जल्द कार्रवाई हो तब जाकर नीचे उसका और असर दिखेगा।"

अनुराग ठाकुर ने कहा की कुछ महीने पहले पूर्व वित्त मंत्री पी. चिदंबरम बड़ी-बड़ी बातें करते थे लेकिन जब जांच एजेंसियों ने उनपर केस दर्ज किया और उसके बाद मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट में गया लेकिन फिर भी आज वह जेल में हैं।


Conclusion:बता दें कि महाराष्ट्र राज्य सहकारी बैंक घोटाला मामले के संबंध में ईडी ने शरद पवार, उनके भतीजे अजीत पवार और 70 अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ धन शोधन रोकथाम कानून के तहत यह मामला दर्ज किया है। ईडी ने यह जांच नेशनल बैंक फॉर एग्रीकल्चर एंड रूरल डेवलपमेंट की तरफ से 2010 में तैयार की गई जांच रिपोर्ट के आधार पर शुरू की है।

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने माना था कि उक्त सभी आरोपियों को इस घोटाले की जानकारी थी। इस केस में शरद पवार और जयंत पाटील सुमित बैंक के अन्य डायरेक्टर के खिलाफ बैंकिंग और आरबीआई के नियमों का उल्लंघन करने का आरोप है।
