New Delhi: Indian Railways has all set to start the second service of Tejas Express train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central, which will run six days a week, except Thursday.
The second Tejas Express will have its inaugural run on 17 January 2020 from Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central.

The train will start its commercial run from 19 January 2020 and it will depart from Ahmedabad at 06:40 am and will reach Mumbai Central at 1:10 pm.
While returning, the train will depart from Mumbai Central at 03:40 pm. and will arrive Ahmedabad at 9:55 pm.
During its journey, the train will halt at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations on both directions, taking the time of 6.5 hours to reach its destination.
Tejas Express is the first train in India which has been operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC).
The first service of Tejas Express was started on the route of New Delhi to Lucknow which has witnessed a positive response from the passengers.
The train will have Chair car and Executive Chair car coaches.
As per the official statement of IRCTC, the train will provide world-class comfort and facilities to the passengers as it has many modern features including sliding doors, personalized reading lights, mobile charging points, attendant call buttons, bio-toilets, CCTV cameras, automatic entry and exit doors, among others.
Besides these features, IRCTC is also offering the passengers to pay a compensation of Rs 100 in the case of delay of more than one hour, during its run, and Rs 250 if the train gets delayed for more than two hours.
The train will have 18 coaches.
IRCTC has been allowed to run the train with a minimum of 12 coaches for a period of one year.

The haulage charges will be calculated per trip, based on the number of coaches used in each trip.
IRCTC will also have the rights for advertisements inside and outside the coaches, including branding of the train.
