New Delhi: Delhi Crime Branch held a man on Wednesday in Rajasthan for allegedly impersonating as private secretary of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
According to police, the accused Saaket called a personal staff of Rajasthan Labour Minister Tikaram Jully, seeking favour. When the Minister enquired about the call from the Home Minister's office he found that no one called him from his office.
The Delhi police issued a statement saying that they received a complaint from Union Home Minister’s office that someone misused the name and position of the minister’s personal secretary to seek favour from the Rajasthan's Labour department.
During the investigation, it was found out that the suspect, Saaket is a resident of Rajasthan and is involved in criminal activities.
The investigating team arrested him and he is being taken to Delhi for further investigation.
