Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh): An alleged Indian Mujahideen member Aziz Akram Khan was sent on transit remand to Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) till December 16 by Chief Judicial Magistrate here on Friday.
Khan (40), who was arrested from here by MP Anti Terrorist Squad on Thursday, was produced in the CJM court that sent him on the transit remand.
According to official sources, the Khan was wanted by Maharashtra ATS since 2006.
Maharashtra ATS had registered a case under section 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act against him.
Khan was hiding at his relative’s house and as soon as the MP ATS came to know about his presence in Burhanpur, they arrested him.
