Not happy eating Egyptian onions: Supriya Sule
Supriya Sule questioned the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the issue of fall in production of Onion in states like Maharashtra and said that she is not happy eating Egyptian onions. She also questioned the government over the 53% MUDRA loans which have become NPAs in recent years.

Union Budget of 2019/20 failed to address concerns of Indian economy: NK Premachandran
Speaking on the first batch of Supplementary Demand for Grants of the second NDA government, INC ML NK Premachandran said, "Out of the 21, 256 crores, the cash outflow is 19,000 crores. The major demand is Rs. 8,820 cores for the newly formed union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh."
"Union budget was approved in the month of August. Out of Rs. 27.86 lakh crores approved for spending for the government, in seven months, you have already spent 59.5% of the full-year target. The budget failed to address the concerns of the Indian economy," he added.

During the discussion on Supplementary Demand for Grants, Supriya Sule, NCP MP suggested two books for the governemnt to refer inorder to get the economy back on track.
The NCP MP suggested the 'Nudge' by Richard Thaler and 'Good economics for hardtimes' by Abhijit Banerjee.
"This economy needs a push but lets start with a nudge," said Supriya claiming NCP supports the grants but expressing disappointment that it did not do justice to people who really needed it.

Answering to the question of Shiv Sena's Sadashiv Kisan Lokhande regarding phone radiations, Communication minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "Birds in India are healthy and have been migrating from a very long time. But we will investigate the matter if there is a case of excess emission at any place."
Prasad also said that Public sector undertakings like BSNL and MTNL did not get 4G earlier, but now the government is providing a separate scheme for Optic fibre.
"We will soon make these PSUs professional, consumer friendly and competitive," said Prasad.

New Delhi: The Wednesday List of Business in the Lok Sabha will see two important bills to be moved for consideration by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
She will introduce the Appropriation (No.3) Bill, 2019 for consideration of the House. This bill will authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of India for the services of the financial year 2019-20.
Sitharaman will also move the International Financial Series Centres Authority Bill, 2019 for consideration. This Bill is to provide for the establishment of an Authority to develop and regulate the financial services in India and for matters connected therewith.
