Four held for reciting Hanuman Chalisa inside mosque again

In yet another incident, four youth, including National President of Maharana Pratap Yuva Sena, have been booked for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in a mosque in Mathura. A case has been registered and the accused will be produced before SDM court.

Mathura: Two days after Mathura police held four people for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Govardhan's Idgah mosque, a similar incident has taken place in the town.

Janpat police on Thursday said that they have arrested three youth for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Idgah mosque under Kotwali police station limits. One of the youths later uploaded the video on social media prompting police to take swift action against the four accused.

According to police sources, Bharat Sisodia National President of Maharana Pratap Yuva Sena along with three others chanted Hanuman Chalisa inside the mosque and uploaded a video of the same. Acting swiftly after the video went viral, the police nabbed all of them and their questioning is underway.

Police have registered a case against the four accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 151 and all four of them will be produced before Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) court.

Superintendent of police Dehant Shri Schand said, "Strict action will be taken against those who try to disrupt communal harmony of Mathura."

The incident comes two days after Mathura police arrested four youth for allegedly reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Idgah mosque in Govardhan. Earlier, two Muslim youths allegedly offered namaz inside the Nand Mahal Temple at Nandgaon in which one of the accused Faizan Khan has been arrested.
