Bengaluru: The Election Commission of India (ECI) rejected the postal vote of a CRPF soldier from Mandya for taking a selfie with it and posting the same on social media.

Rajnayak, after casting his vote for independent candidate Sumalatha Ambarish, also known as Sumalatha had posted on social media that he had cast his vote for her. Later, the actress had thanked him on Twitter.

Taking serious note of the incident, the Election commission of India dismissed his vote for infringing voting code and hereby, a complaint was lodged against him for revealing his chosen candidate.
