Hyderabad: India recorded over 500,000 cases in just 9 days. India has recorded over 60,000 cases in 24 hours, for the second day in a row. With this, India's tally of total cases has reached 2,114,140. As many as 42,518 have died from the disease.
Delhi
New Delhi: The serological survey in Delhi for the month of August has concluded. As per reports, about 15,000 samples were collected from over 11 districts in Delhi. These samples will not be processed in 18 labs authorised by the state government before the declaration of the findings, in about 10 days from now.
Jharkhand
Ranchi: A COVID-positive woman and her two children had to spend a night on the verandah of a hospital in Jharkhand's Dhanbad, prompting Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday to pull up the district administration. The hospital staff later admitted the three to the COVID ward.
In the last twenty-four hours, 678 new corona infected patients have been found in Jharkhand. The number of infections in the state has increased to 16,542. Of these 154 people have died and 7,503 patients have been cured.
So far, a total of 3,67,817 people have been tested for coronavirus in the state. The recovery rate has improved and it has reached 45.44%. The death rate has been reduced to 0.91%.
Odisha
Bhubaneswar: BJP’s Bargarh MP, Suresh Pujari has been tested positive for COVID-19. The Parliamentarian through his twitter handle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Odisha’s COVID-19 recoveries crossed 30k-mark with another 1544 patients cured and are being discharged on Saturday, the H&FW Dept informed.
Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a target of three years has been set to make the state 'aatmanirbhar' (self-reliant).
"Kill Corona squad" team has been deployed in Gwalior in the spread of novel coronavirus in the city. Action is being taken on those people who are not applying social distancing and masks in the city. This team has been formed by the Collector following the instructions of the Home Department.
Bihar
Patna: Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in Bihar. Now the number of corona cases in the state has crossed 75 thousand. 10,000 new corona cases have been found in Bihar in just three days. Whereas initially, it took 102 days till the figure of 10,000 was reached in Bihar. A total of 71520 samples have been investigated in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 46265 patients in the state have been cured of the corona.
Now, a matter of relief that the corona recovery rate in the state is 64.44 per cent. With the increase in the number of corona cases in the state, now the government has decided to provide a government ambulance service to test Corona.
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed to make ICU beds in proportion to the population in all districts for the treatment of corona patients. The CM asked the Health Department officials to make arrangements to give incentives to those who donate plasma.
Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 400-bed Covid-19 hospital in Noida, sector 39 on Saturday. Noida District Magistrate Suhas LY was also present at the event.
