Lockdown: 13 held, 22 booked for gathering for prayers
Police have arrested 13 persons and registered an offence against around 22 others for gathering at one place for prayers in Pimpri Chinchwad area despite the ongoing lockdown, officials said on Sunday.
They are all residents of Kudalwadi area, police said.
"Around 35 people had gathered for prayers on the terrace of a building on March 27. After we received information about it, we launched an inquiry," a senior official said.
"After the investigation, we arrested 13 people, but released them on bail," he said.

One lakh people from Odisha stranded in different parts of India: Official
Around one lakh people from Odisha are stranded in different parts of the country amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, and state government is taking steps to assist them in every way, a senior official said on Sunday.
Special arrangements have been made to provide all help to workers, students, pilgrims and tourists stuck in other states from Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam and Jajpur, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said.
At least 1,860 calls have been received at the control room set up in the home department to assist migrant workers, he said, adding, most people from the state are stranded in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

SpiceJet: A First Officer with SpiceJet has tested positive for COVID-19. Test report came on March 28. He did not operate any international flight in March 2020. Last domestic flight he operated was on March 21 from Chennai to Delhi&since then he had quarantined himself at home.
As a precautionary measure, all crew and staff who had been in direct contact with him have been asked to self-quarantine by staying at home for the next 14 days. All measures are being taken to provide appropriate medical care to him.

COVID-19 Lockdown: Kerala Police arrests 1,258 violators
Trivandrum: Kerala Police have arrested 1,258 people and seized 792 vehicles on Saturday in connection with violation of guidelines issued during the lockdown period.
In five days of lockdown, the total number of cases registered by police has reached 8311.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockdown in the entire country to deal with the spread of the coronavirus, saying that "social distancing" is the only option to deal with the disease, which spreads rapidly.
Six new positive cases of coronavirus were reported in Kerala taking the total number of cases in the state to 165 on Saturday, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
