Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Health Department has issued guidelines for pilgrims visiting Sabarimala. Strict COVID protocol will have to be adhered by the pilgrims.
The pilgrims will have to produce a COVID negative certificate of the test taken 24 hours before the visit. Those who were infected will have to undergo a fitness test. If they are not fit or show any symptoms, they will be sent back.
People are asked to remain cautious even after the rapid antigen test is negative. They are not allowed to stay in groups in Sannidhanam and Nilakkal.
It is also directed to maintain social distancing while trekking up and down the hill. Drivers will also have to act as per the guidelines. Moreover, wearing masks, frequent washing of hands and carrying sanitizers are mandatory.
