Hyderabad: India's COVID-19 tally increased to 19,64,536 as 56,282 cases reported on Thursday, while 13,28,336 people have recovered, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 40,699 with 907 fresh fatalities being reported in 24-hours on Thursday.
A total of 5,95,501 active cases of coronavirus infection are in the country presently.
The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients has risen to 67.19 per cent, while the fatality rate has further dropped to 2.09 pc, the data stated.
