New Delhi: The Congress blamed PM Narendra Modi for using caste and religious issues fearing to lose the 2019 elections.
While talking to media, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "Modi is in a state of panic after the end of phase three elections. In fear of losing, he is making caste an electoral issue in his post-election campaigns."
He also said that Modi is dividing the country by stating that he came from a backward background and earlier he was politicising the Indian Army, in the name of nationalism.
On the same issue, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had earlier commented that Modi didn't come from a backward caste and was just using casteism for political advantage.
