Congress only criticizes the govt, does nothing: BJP

BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain has attacked Congress for 'doing nothing and only criticizing the government'. Hussain said that when the entire nation is busy fighting a war against coronavirus under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress leaders are busy castigating the government. He said that strict action will be taken against people who attack health workers and doctors.

New Delhi: Attacking Congress for just "making statements and criticizing" the union government, the BJP on Wednesday said the "family leaders" were busy spreading doubts over COVID-19 and doing nothing about the situation.

In a video message here, BJP national spokesperson and Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain said it was unfortunate that the Congress party was only finding fault with the government and doing nothing to help the nation to come out of present health crisis caused by a contagious coronavirus, which has killed over a lakh people across the world.

"They are just busy in making statements and criticizing the government. They don't have any other work to do," he said, adding that they have nothing to do with the current crisis.

"They are creating doubts over COVID-19, whereas the country collectively fighting COVID-19 in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Hussain said.

Talking about people misbehaving with doctors and medical staff, BJP leader said anyone indulging in such acts must be punished.

"The doctors and nurses are working without fearing about their lives and leaving families behind. Anyone misbehaving with them should be dealt with strictly.
