Bengaluru (Karnataka): The cases of sexual harassment against women in Bengaluru has shown a sharp decline in the past 50 days amid the corona-induced nationwide lockdown, an official said.
In view of the heinous rape case of a female veterinarian in Hyderabad, the Bangalore City Police had launched Suraksha, a mobile application for the safety of women. In case of trouble, the app sends the information to the command centre located at the city police commissioner’s office and the staffers alert the local Hoysala patrolling vehicles to take action immediately.
