Kolkata: The clash between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and opposition party BJP intensified after the death of a BJP worker in Siliguri, West Bengal on Monday.
In the latest development, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made serious allegations against the BJP and said that the BJP is killing people by organising rallies.
One person died in violence in Siliguri on Monday during a BJP program (Uttarkanya). A day after the incident, Mamata said the BJP "indulges in lies, gets people killed."
Mamata said that she will never let the BJP-led government at the Centre to sell coal mines, and added centre is protecting the coal mafia.
BJP leader Sayantan Basu has also demanded an inquiry into the role of the police. The BJP has written a letter to North Bengal Medical College demanding a second post-mortem of Ulen Roy. BJP has also called for videotaping the post-mortem procedures. According to the information, in the death case of Ulen Roy, Siliguri administration has quoted shotgun injury quoting post mortem report.
The West Bengal Police has suspected the possibility of a conspiracy behind the death of Ulen Roy.
