New Delhi: As India remembers the Pulwama martyrs on the first anniversary of the terror attack on February 14, Congress party accused the BJP lead Union government for having a "use and throw" policy towards the soldiers and security forces of the nation.
Addressing the media, Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill said, "Today marks one year of the Pulwama attacks, Indian National Congress salutes the courage of the martyrs of Pulwama attack. The world knows that Pakistan was responsible for Pulwama attacks but the BJP government is silent about the big intelligence failure and security lapse that led to the attack."

Accusing the government over "using" the soldiers and security forces for political gains, Shergill also said, "BJP is the first to claim credit for national security but when there is a failure in national security intelligence BJP remains mum and ignores all the questions related to the issue."
Congress posed several questions over the intelligence failure during the Pulwama attack, asking for the investigation report of the attack to be made public.
"How did such a huge quantity of IED can enter the Indian Soil? Who within the Indian administration is responsible, accountable and answerable for such a massive intelligence failure that took the lives of 40 jawans? What role did DSP Davinder Singh played during the Pulwama attack?," Shergill added.
Earlier on Friday, in an outright attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress former president Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Who benefitted the most from the attack?" which has given a rise to huge outrage from various leaders of BJP.
