Kalburgi (Karnataka): Amid incidents of assault on ASHA workers during COVID-19 lockdown, a man performed 'pada puja' for the community health workers to show his respect.
Vijayakumar from Nibarga village of Alanda taluk in Kalburgi district performed the 'pada puja' for corona warriors at his home.
It is when the ASHA workers went to Vijayakumar's house as part of the door to door Covid-19 survey, he welcomed them and performed the 'pada puja'.
"You all are the real warriors battling against coronavirus," Vijayakumar told them.

N S Arivalada who works in KMF in Dharwad had performed 'pada puja' for scavengers in the city the day before.
By seeing the hard work of scavengers amid the coronavirus, Arivalada invited some of them to his home and performed 'pada puja" and provided them with sweets and food kits.
