Bengaluru: Seven people who returned from the UK and landed in Karnataka have tested positive for the new Corona strain in the state and they are admitted in the hospital, said Karnataka's Health Minister Dr Sudhakar on Wednesday.
Among these seven positive patients, three are in Bengaluru and four are from Shimoga. Three primary contacts of Shimoga cases have also tested positive. Their samples have been sent for testing. All seven positive patients have been sent to institutional quarantine, he added.
Sudhakar requested the people to follow the Central Government's guidelines, related to the new Coronavirus strain.CM Yediyurappa has urged people who have visited Britain in the past two months to get tested.
Few returnees are still untraceable and the health department has asked the home department to help in tracing the UK returnees.
