Air India flight makes emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport

Air India Express flight from Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram (IX-1346) suffered a suspected fuel leak and was forced to make an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): An Air India Express flight from Sharjah to Kozhikode (IX-1346) made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport. All 104 passengers on board will be airlifted to Kozhikode.

According to the primary information, the aircraft pilot suspected a leak in the fuel tank and contacted the air traffic control at the Thiruvananthapuram airport and requested permission for an emergency landing.

The Thiruvananthapuram airport authorities then arranged for an emergency landing, said airport officials.
