Bengaluru: A new strain of the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been detected in Bengaluru. These new variants were discovered while genomic sequencing. Experts are worried about the Delta variants amid rising concerns about the third wave of Covid-19.

These new strains were discovered in genomic sequencing. A new delta variant the Kappa strain has been found in Bengaluru. Three new delta variants have been discovered earlier - AY.3, AY.4, AY.6. While genomic sequencing of about 400 samples, these three new strains have been found. The fear about these new strains could cause a third wave, however, experts have not said anything about it so far.

For the past two years, people have been suffering both mentally and financially from Covid-19 infection. Apart from the Covid-19, the emergence of the Black Fungus, Delta variants and imminent third wave of Covid-19 is causing enormous fear among the public.
