New Delhi: A 100-year-old freedom fighter has undergone corona vaccination in Delhi Cantonment General Hospital today. Lajpat Rai Yadav, a veteran freedom fighter, who served two years in jail during the Quit India movement, appealed to the general public to take corona vaccines at the earliest.
Lajpat Rai Yadav, who joined the freedom struggle way back in 1939 in Hyderabad, lives in Delhi Cantonment. He has encouraged the general people to recall the same old spirit of India's freedom struggle and fight the ongoing Coronavirus crisis in the country.

Delhi Cantonment's ex-councillor, Rachna Kadiyan informed that it's commendable to see the former freedom fighter and 100-year-old Lajpat Rai Yadav appealing to the public to get vaccinated. She further added that every people above the age of 45 must get vaccinated and that's the only way India can emerge out of this crisis.

Meanwhile, Delhi Cantonment's doctor Praveen Kumar added that the hospital is vaccinating over 500 people on a daily basis. Earlier, less than 100 people used to turn up for vaccination but the number is increasing due to the rising awareness among the general population.
