More than 24 hours after the first phase of Assembly elections concluded in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, sources said at least 200 polling personnel involved in the election duty are yet to report to the Election Control Room in Naxal-affected Bijapur district. 20 assembly seats went into polls in the first phase and reported a high voter turnout of 71.48 per cent, while Bijapur recorded the lowest (40.98 per cent) turnout. Polling personnel in most locations were offered chopper rides to their respective polling stations due to security reasons.
