Supreme Court Bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud refuses to award re-test as sought by the petitioners, stating that it would disrupt the academic counselling and would have a bearing on the marginalised students for whom reservation has been made in the allocation of seats. The court Monday had asked the petitioners seeking a re-test to establish that there was a "systemic failure" in the conduct of the NEET-UG 2024 examination by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
