Sasaram(Bihar): Showing solidarity towards the INDIA bloc, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accompanied Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi in his ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra here on Friday.
Lalu's Son Tejashwi was caught driving the vehicle and taking Rahul for a tour in Bihar. Later, both Yadav and Gandhi went and sat on the roof of a sports utility vehicle, which was slowly moving, and they waved at enthusiastic crowds that gathered along the main road of the town.
The Jugalbandi between the two leaders also marked the first instance when they were seen sharing the stage together in Bihar since state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar severed his ties with INDIA bloc.
The Nyay Yatra arrived in Bihar days after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was at the forefront of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, a coalition of opposition parties formed to take on the BJP at the Centre, dumped the Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) and joined hands again with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
A huge crowd, involving supporters from both RJD and Congress gathered during the road show, which marks the last day of Nyay Yatra in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi, who began his yatra from the party's district office in Sasaram this morning, is expected to enter Uttar Pradesh through Mohania in Kaimur district later this evening.
Gandhi will address a public meeting at Dhaneychha in the Durgawati block of Kaimur. After the rally, the Congress leader is slated to leave for Uttar Pradesh. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is expected to join the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli. The East-West Manipur-Mumbai Yatra traverses 6,700 km through 15 states and aims to highlight the message of nyay (justice) while meeting common people on the way.
