কলকাতা, 25 সেপ্টেম্বর: 20 বছরের লম্বা আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট কেরিয়ারে ইতি টানলেন ঝুলন গোস্বামী ৷ শনিবার লর্ডসে ইংল্যান্ডের বিরুদ্ধে শেষ আন্তর্জাতিক একদিনের ক্রিকেট খেলতে নেমেছিলেন ৷ যে ম্যাচ জিতে ঝুলনকে তাঁর বিদায়ী সিরিজ 0-3 ফলাফলে উপহার দিল ভারতীয় মহিলা ক্রিকেট দল ৷ আর ভারতীয় মহিলা ক্রিকেটকে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সেবা করে আসা ঝুলনকে আগামীর শুভেচ্ছা জানাতে ভুলল না ভারতীয় ক্রিকেটমহল (Best Wishes to Jhulan Goswami for Retirement) ৷

এদিন ঝুলনকে তাঁর আগামীর জন্য শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন বিসিসিআই সভাপতি সৌরভ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় (Sourav Ganguly) ৷ লিখেছেন, ‘‘অসাধারণ কেরিয়ার... আরও ভালো বিষয়, এর শেষটা হল একটা জয় দিয়ে ৷ ব্যক্তিগতভাবেও একটা ভালো সিরিজের স্মৃতি সঙ্গে নিয়ে গেল ৷ তুমি দশকে পর দশক ধরে ভারতীয় মহিলা ক্রিকেটের অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে থাকবে ৷’’
