চাঁদের দক্ষিণ মেরুতে অবতরণ করার আগে বিক্রম ল্যান্ডারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যায় ISRO-র । এই ব্যর্থতার পরও ISRO-কে উৎসাহ দেওয়ায় বলিউড তারকাদের প্রশংসা করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি ।

পরিচালক মধুর ভান্ডারকরের করা টুইটকে রিটুইট করেন মোদি । তিনি লেখেন, "আমরা প্রায়ই বলি না ভারতবর্ষ একটা পরিবার ? ভালো কথা ও সমর্থনই একটা পরিবার । আমরা ISRO ও আমাদের বিজ্ঞানীদের নিয়ে গর্বিত ।"

চাঁদের দক্ষিণ মেরুতে অবতরণ করার আগে বিক্রম ল্যান্ডারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যায় ISRO-র । চেয়ারম্যান কে শিভন ঘোষণা করেন, চাঁদের পৃষ্ঠ থেকে 2.1 কিলোমিটার উপরে ল্যান্ডারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যায় ।
