CAA : দিল্লিতে চলল কাঁদানে গ্যাস, আলিগড়ে বন্ধ ইন্টারনেট

নাগরিকত্ব সংশোধনী আইনের প্রতিবাদে ফের উত্তপ্ত দিল্লি ও আলিগড় । আজ বিকেলে দুই এলাকাতেই পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে পাথর ছোড়ার অভিযোগ সামনে আসে প্রতিবাদকারীদের বিরুদ্ধে । পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে ব্যবহার হয় কাঁদানে গ্যাস । আলিগড়ে বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়েছে ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা ।

দিল্লি ও আলিগড়, 23 ফেব্রুয়ারি : CAA নিয়ে ফের উত্তপ্ত রাজধানী । উত্তর-পূর্ব দিল্লির মৌজপুর এলাকায় আজ বিকেলে নাগরিকত্ব সংশোধনী আইনের প্রতিবাদে বিক্ষোভকারী গোষ্ঠীর সঙ্গে সংঘর্ষ বাধে আইনের সমর্থনকারী এক গোষ্ঠীর । দিল্লির জাফরাবাদে গতরাত থেকেই CAA বিরোধী প্রতিবাদ শুরু হয়েছে । আজকের এই সংঘর্ষের এলাকাটি জাফরাবাদের কাছেই ।

স্থানীয় BJP নেতা কপিল মিশ্রের নেতৃত্বে মৌজপুর এলাকায় আজ বিকেলে CAA -এর সমর্থনে এক মিছিলের আয়োজন করা হয় । ওই মিছিলকে ঘিরেই উত্তেজনার সৃষ্টি হয় বলে জানা গেছে ।

সর্বভারতীয় এক সংবাদ সংস্থায় জানানো হয়েছে, এলাকায় দুই পক্ষই একে অন্যকে লক্ষ্য করে পাথর ছুঁড়তে শুরু করে । এলাকায় মোতায়েন করা হয় বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী । নামানো হয় আধা-সেনাও । পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করেও পাথর ছোড়া হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে । পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনতে পুলিশ কাঁদানে গ্যাসও ব্যবহার করে ।

ইস্টার্ন রেঞ্জের জয়েন্ট পুলিশ কমিশনার অলোক কুমার জানিয়েছেন, "পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য় করে পাথর ছোড়া হয়েছে । পরিস্থিতি এখন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনা হয়েছে । এলাকায় পর্যাপ্ত বাহিনী মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে ।"

অন্য একটি ঘটনায় আজ বিকেলে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে ওঠে আলিগড় । CAA-এর প্রতিবাদে বিক্ষোভরত এক গোষ্ঠীর সঙ্গে পুলিশের সংঘর্ষ বাধে । বিক্ষোভকারীরা পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে পাথর ছুড়তে শুরু করলে লাঠিচার্জ শুরু করে । ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে কাঁদানে গ্যাসও । ঘটনায় বেশ কয়েকজন পুলিশকর্মীও জখম হয়েছে বলে পুলিশের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে । পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে এলাকায় RAF মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে । ঘটনার জেরে আলিগড়ে বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়েছে ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা ।
