New Delhi: A fire which broke out in a garbage heap, lodged in a sewer channel, near Sai temple at Patparganj's industrial area, was left unattended for hours, causing a horde of problems to the locals.
Though, the smoke kept polluting the air for hours, none of the concerned government agencies paid heed to the issue.
The indifference to the incident was not surprising to the residents, as it was in the vicinity of East Delhi's Municipal Corporation head office, and it was a regular recurrence in the area.
The sewer channel, which originates from the Irrigation Department, running through the Patparganj industrial area, is packed to the brim with the garbage thrown in by the people.
