Korba (Chhattisgarh):The future of the country and people’s fate depends on a new generation of young politicians. The youngsters no longer want to sit back and criticise the government for their decisions and policies, instead, they know how to fight for their rights simultaneously aspire to bring a change.

One such inspiration is Mansi, resident of Korba district, who left her job at Google to land into politics through which she can change bring about a change in the society.

Seeing her passion, Aam Aadmi Party has given her ticket to contest from ward number 50 of the municipal corporation in her hometown Korba.

Residents of many villages in India suffer lack of basic amenities like roads, proper drainage system, drinking water even in the 21st century, she said, adding that the situation is worrisome and these issues need to be solved at the earliest, so that focus comes upon other issues.

Mansi who was working with Google had a hefty salary package with lakhs being credited into her bank account every month.

"But, I was not happy. I wanted to do something better, something for the society .... the country," said Mansi, who simultaneously runs an NGO in her hometown.

Mansi told ETV Bharat that the constituency from where she is contesting is the residential area of NTPC and the majority of people do not vote.

Urging NTPC employees to cast their vote, she said, "People should always vote, or else, the leaders who do not deserve the victory and are fatal for the country end up winning."

When questioned about competition with parties like BJP and Congress, Mansi said that she does not want to join politics to become a leader or compete with other leaders.

"I only want to bring a change, and if other parties want the same, I will only support it, not compete with them," said Mansi whose ideology aligns with AAP.
