Hyderabad:Microsoft on Monday announced its partnership with media platform Semafor and other news organisations to help journalists work with generative artificial intelligence(AI) to produce content.
Microsoft is paying an undisclosed sum of money to Semafor to sponsor a breaking news feature called "Signals." The media company informed that it is launching a new, global multi-source breaking news feed called Signals, in which journalists, using tools from Microsoft and Open AI, offer readers diverse, sophisticated perspectives and insights on the biggest stories in the world as they develop.
Signals responds to the deep and continuing shifts in the digital media landscape and the post-social news moment, and to the risks and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence.
Tech giant, Microsoft said that collaboration with Semafor will help them responsibly use AI in their news gathering and business practices by identifying and refining procedures and policies.
"Semafor will work with us to harness AI tools to assist journalists in their research, source discovery, translation, and more with Semafor Signals, helping journalists provide a diverse array of credible local, national, and global sources to their audience," Microsoft said in a blogpost on Monday.
