New Delhi:At least eight bogies of a goods train derailed near Zakhira Flyover in Delhi on Saturday. Teams of railway officials, the Delhi police and the Delhi Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot for the rescue operation. “At least eight bogies of the goods train derailed near Zakhira. Our team has reached the spot and a rescue operation is underway,” Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Deepak Kumar told ETV Bharat.
According to the Delhi police, they received information at around 11:52 am regarding the derailment of a train near Zakhira flyover in Delhi. A team rushed to the site and started the rescue operation. "Teams of railway, fire brigade and police reached the incident site and launched the search operation to confirm whether anyone was trapped under the derailed bogies or not," a senior Delhi police officer said.
