New Delhi:In the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections, Aam Aadmi Party retained the Chandni Chowk Assembly seat, where its candidate Punardeep Singh Sawney aka Sabby defeated BJP's Satish Jain by a margin of over 16,000 votes.
Sabby polled 38993 votes while Jain managed to get 22421 votes. Congress Mudit Agarwal was at a distant third with barely 9000 votes to his name.
Chandni Chowk seat is located in the Central district of Delhi and comes under the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, the seat had a total of 125717 electors and the total number of valid votes was 76936. AAP nominee Parlad Singh Sawhney won and became MLA. He secured a total of 50891 votes. BJP candidate Suman Kumar Gupta stood second with a total of 21307 votes.
In the 2015 Delhi Assembly polls, Chandni Chowk seat had a total of 113784 electors with 74114 valid votes. AAP nominee Alka Lamba won and became MLA. She secured a total of 36756 votes. BJP candidate Suman Kumar Gupta stood second with a total of 18469 votes.
