Mangaluru:The Karnataka Police have arrested 14 people, including 14 Rama Sena activists and a cameraman of a local channel, in connection with the alleged attack on Colors Unisex Salon in Bejai in the city and the destruction of glass and furniture.
Local channel cameraman Sharan Raj, Rama Sena founder Prasad Attavar, activists Harsharaj of Farangipet, Mohan Das of Vamanjoor, Purandara of Kasaragod, Sachin, Ravish of Vamanjoor, Suket of Benjanapada, Ankit of Vamanjoor, Kali Mattu, Abhilash of Bondantila, Deepak of Vamanjoor, Vignesh of Neermarg and Pradeep Poojary of Vamanjoor have been arrested, the police said.
On Thursday, at around 11:50 am, a group of 11 people barged into Colors unisex salon located in Aditya Complex near Bejai under Barke police station limits in Mangaluru city and committed arson. They verbally abused the female staff and threatened their lives, alleging that immoral activities were taking place in the salon. Not only that, they also vandalised the salon equipment and assaulted the employees, the police said.
