Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai along with his Cabinet colleagues and MLAs took holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Thursday. Sai also lauded Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for making elaborate arrangements and providing facilities to the devotees.
Sai along with his entourage of 166 people arrived at Prayagraj earlier in the day. Taking to his X handle, Sai posted, "Today, 3 crore people of Chhattisgarh took a dip in the Triveni Sangam of the holy river Prayagraj for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people and received the holy benefits of bathing. Maha Kumbh is a grand festival of divinity and spiritual energy of Sanatan Dharma, here faith becomes Amrit and connects the soul with Brahma".
Prior to his departure from Swami Vivekananda Airport, Sai thanked CM Yogi for inviting them to the Maha Kumbh.
"Our ministers, Assembly Speaker, Governor, MPs and MLAs are going to Prayagraj to take holy dip in Triveni Sangam. I am thankful to UP CM for inviting us. Chhattisgarh pavilion has been set up at the Maha Kumbh Mela ground, where free arrangement for accommodation and food have been made for the devotees of the state." Sai said
Assembly Speaker Raman Singh said that leaders of all parties, including the Opposition, are on way to Prayagraj. "The blessings of Lord Shiva and Maa Ganga are always on Chhattisgarh and it is due to their blessings that the state enjoys wealth and grains," he said.
