Hyderabad: Bollywood actor John Abraham met Indian shooter Manu Bhasker, who returned to her home country on Wednesday, August 7, accompanied by her coach Jaspal Rana. The young athlete, who is just 22 years old, made a remarkable achievement by clinching two bronze medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
John Abraham took to Instagram to celebrate Bhaker's accomplishments, posting a photo alongside her and expressing his pride in her achievements. In his post, he wrote, "Had the pleasure of meeting @bhakermanu and her lovely family. She has made India proud!!! Respect." The image captures a joyful moment, with Manu displaying one of her bronze medals from the Olympic 2024, while John is seen holding her other medal. Both of them are all smiles for the camera, showcasing a moment of shared pride and joy.
Manu has been praised for her outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics 2024, and she is set to be India's flag-bearer during the closing ceremony of the event, which is scheduled for Sunday, August 11.
Speaking of John Abraham's work front, he is currently occupied with promotional activities for his upcoming film Vedaa. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the movie also features Abhishek Banerjee and Sharvari Wagh in prominent roles. The film has been granted a U/A certification by the censor board, which has also recommended a nine-minute cut from the final version. Scheduled to hit the silver screens on this Independence Day, the action-thriller will compete at the box office against other films like Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein.
