London:Christopher Nolan's biographical film Oppenheimer dominated the BAFTA Film categories 2024, winning seven categories, including Best Director, Best Film, and Best Lead Actor. The ceremony was held in London's Royal Festival Hall. According to Deadline, a US-based media organisation, Poor Things won five BAFTAs, including Leading Actress for Emma Stone, Costume, Makeup and Hair, Production Design, and Special Visual Effects.
Killers of the Flower Moon, which had nine nominations going into this evening, Bradley Cooper's Maestro, which had seven, and Greta Gerwig's Barbie, the largest box office movie of 2023, were all completely overlooked, according to Deadline. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer received five nominations.
